about

Appropriately written on a hot Summer day while stuck in traffic on 10th Avenue trying to get into the Lincoln Tunnel. It’s really a play on the “I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause” conceit. It’s a bit creepy, a bit traditional, and all fun. Originally, it included the line “and play with some special toys with your mother like I did last year,” but the elves shut off the Silvertone and turned down the temperature to keep us on the nice list.

Coming to Your House (written by Jack Bashwiner)

Calling all kids all around the world
From one to one hundred and five
Gonna celebrate the birthday of an old friend of mine

But I’m a-comin’ I’m a-comin’ to your house to your house
I’ll be stopping by then l gotta to fly
Yes I’m coming to your house tonight

Gonna touch my nose and point my toes
And come down the chimney with care
I’ll bring toys galore so you won’t want more
Till I come again next year

But I’m a-comin’ I’m a-comin’ to your house to your house
I’ll be stopping by then l gotta to fly
Yes I’m coming to your house tonight

With all this magic it would be tragic
If I didn’t stop for some cheer
And share a kiss and some mistletoe
With your mother like I did last year

Comin’ I’m a-comin’ to your house to your house
I’ll be stopping by then l gotta to fly
Yes I’m coming to your house tonight

Calling all kids all around the world
Up all night and nosy
Your sleepy eyes will tell you lies
When this old elf gets cozy

I’m a-comin’ I’m a-comin’ down the chimney at your house
I know the way down in every house in town
Yes I’m coming to see you tonight

With all this magic it would be tragic
If I didn’t stay for some cheer
And share a kiss and some mistletoe
With your mother like I did last year
